Our first Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Today we have launched our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance report for 2011, describing how we consciously integrate environmental and social concerns into our daily business operations.

The fundamentals of CSR are embedded in our corporate DNA. Our founder Richard Tang named the company Zen Internet to reflect his Chinese ancestry, which goes back 30 generations. While Richard is not a Zen Buddist, many of his beliefs fall in line with Eastern values.

Fibre Optic Broadband - Why choose Zen Internet?

Times are tough. Costs are rising and we all have to make difficult decisions about where to spend and where to save. Unsurprisingly, then, the latest wave of cheap broadband deals seems incredibly attractive. With introductory offers creeping under £5 per month, or bundles with broadband, phone and even TV services for under £20, it only makes sense to take advantage.

Why pay premium prices for business-grade broadband when someone else can offer you Internet and phone for less?

Why? Because broadband is one area you don't want to take risks.

Read more to find out why you should choose Zen Internet for Fibre Optic Broadband.

Changes to the way we advertise broadband speeds

At Zen we have always aimed to be open and honest in the promotion of our services and are fully committed to Ofcom's Voluntary Code of Practice. This is why one of the first things we do in our broadband sales process is confirm to customers the actual expected speed of their connection. We operate in a highly competitive market that has become dominated by glitzy marketing from larger ISPs, who collectively spend several hundred million pounds on marketing. With this comes the potential risk of confusing or misleading customers, which is why we are very supportive of new proposals from the Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) that aim to provide clearer broadband advertising for ISPs.
